Weather diary 240621

Friday, 07:47, London

It’s the solstice. Midsummer. The sun’s biggest day. I forgot for a minute and was shocked by the weather app saying the sun rose three hours ago.

What do we do on the longest day of the year? There’s almost twenty hours of daylight to play in. A seemingly endless future fully illuminated with a few obstacles on the way.

It’s Friday. Work, duty, a series of puzzles to solve. How much can I let my commitments define me, claim my energy, or energize me.

Maybe it’s always the case on the solstice, a full moon rises this evening and sets in the brief morning darkness.

We’ll have all day to howl at our gods.
